Who's Farinella
David John Farinella has been writing about
the inside of the music business since the beginning of his career,
concentrating his attention on performers, songwriters, record
producers, and occasionally the personality that fuses them all.
Farinella got his start covering the San Francisco Bay Area music
scene in 1990 and he quickly moved into the national media, contributing
to such publications as Billboard,
Mix, Rolling Stone, Alternative Press, Performing Songwriter,
Modern Drummer, and a handful of memorable, yet defunct, music
magazines. In addition to his regular magazine contributions, Farinella
was an associate editor for The Encyclopedia of Record Producers. Although
Farinella has interviewed some legendary performers, it is the
story behind the story that has constantly fascinated him. Some
of his most memorable professional moments have come in the studio
as performers and producers put their hearts into the intricacies
of a song. |
